I have been looking for a while for a Sky remote code so that I can control my small flatscreen TV, it is a LG 19LS4D, upstairs using my Sky HD remote. Until now I have had to use both the Sky remote for Sky and the LG one for turning the TV on and off and the volume, bloody annoying!
Well I have now found the code required and it works below is the procedure that I have used using a Rev 8 Sky HD remote control:
- Press TV
- SELECT + RED
- TV
- 0056
- ON/OFF
- If the TV switches off then press SELECT to store the code.
- Else alternate between pressing TV then ON/OFF until the TV switches off, when it does then press SELECT to store the code.
Great! I had the same problem…. tried the above and it works…
Note 1: step 2 – you need to HOLD Select+RED until the LED flashes twice.
Note 2: step 5/6/7 – I needed to repeat the final “TV then OnOFF” step twice before it worked.

I have had this problem for two years nearly, and I just didn’t believe this fix.
BUT, after trying absolutely everything else, from everywhere else, I finally thought – Well I’ve nothing to lose – and it actually worked first time with three repeats of the ‘TV’ ‘power’ buttons. So I stored the code thinkng ‘This will not work when I want to turn on again’, but it really does.
